There was a recent Op-ed in the Chicago Tribune from several Korean-American groups declaring that the Korean War is the longest in United States history. The Op-ed said, “Improving diplomacy with North Korea would allow the U.S. to resolve sensitive matters and de-escalate tensions more quickly.”
I certainly agree with that, but I’d go one step further. North Korea, in its foolishness, is continuing to drop bombs into the ocean, killing ocean life indiscriminately.
There are strong reasons why the world must intervene to stop this behavior now, and it has to do with what the oceans mean for our planet’s health and survival!
