I do believe in an afterlife but eternity (just like infinity) is hard to comprehend. I believe we have a soul and if we have a soul then where does it go once it no longer has a body? The evidence is all around us but it's like not being able to see the forest for the trees. Its magnitude is greater than our ability to see it. Our time on earth is so short. Maybe we're here on a vacation from heaven! There's a quote about how our lives are merely a parenthesis in a neverending story. And then, my most favorite quote of all: "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience." This world is temporary. So...I believe there is more to come. We leave our human body one day and walk into another room.
